Open a freshly processed recording in the Library and you'll see a row of suggested chapters sitting above the player. Open CID Manager and you'll find a Cleanup button at the top of the Tags column. Both are live for all customers on Basic+ and above, with no setup or admin toggle.
Use Auto-Chapter Suggestions to skip the manual scrub
When a recording finishes transcript processing, the Library generates chapter break suggestions from speaker shifts and topic changes detected in the transcript. They appear as a row of timestamped cards directly above the player, in playback order.
Each card has three behaviors:
Click the card body to jump the player to that timestamp.
Click the pencil icon to rename the chapter inline. The label you set is what viewers will see in the published asset's player.
Click the X to dismiss the suggestion. Dismissed suggestions do not return on that asset.
Accepted chapters become navigable from the published asset's player, so a viewer dropping into a 42-minute interview can jump to minute 23 without scrubbing the timeline.
A few practical notes:
Suggestions only appear once the transcript has finished processing. On a long recording, that may take a few minutes after upload.
Renaming a chapter does not change the timestamp. The break stays where the system placed it.
Dismissing a chapter is per-asset. If you dismiss a break in
q2-allhands-raw.mp4, suggestions on other recordings are unaffected.
Open a recent recording and review the cards before you publish.
Use Bulk Tag Cleanup to consolidate duplicates in CID Manager
Tag libraries grow. After a few quarters, most CID Managers carry duplicates (Webinar, webinars, Webinar 2024), orphaned tags from old campaigns, and near-synonyms that split related assets across multiple labels.
In CID Manager, the Tags column header now shows a Cleanup button. Click it to enter multi-select mode. Checkboxes appear next to every tag. Select two or more, then choose an action:
Merge. Combines the selected tags' assets under a single name you specify. Every asset that carried any of the merged tags now carries the new one.
Rename. Applies a new label to the selected tags. Rename behavior across multi-selects is not detailed in the release notes, so run a single-tag rename first and confirm the Activity Log entry before scaling up.
Delete. Removes the selected tags from every asset that had them. Asset records remain; only the tag association is removed.
Merge and Delete are reversible for 24 hours. Open the Activity Log, find the entry for the cleanup operation, and click Revert. After 24 hours the entry is final.
A few guardrails worth knowing before you run a large cleanup:
Merge is one-directional toward the name you choose. If you merge
webinarsintoWebinar, thewebinarslabel is gone after the operation.Delete operates across the entire CID. A tag attached to 800 assets is removed from all 800 in one pass.
The Activity Log entry shows the count of affected assets, so you can sanity-check scale before reverting or letting the window close.
For a first pass, start with obvious duplicates and case variants where the risk is low. Save structural decisions (collapsing a taxonomy, retiring a campaign series) for a separate session where you can review the Activity Log entry carefully before the 24-hour window closes.
Run a small merge first, confirm it in the Activity Log, then move on to the bigger consolidations.
