How to connect sources to Channel Brain

Connect tools like Google Drive, Notion, Slack, GitHub, Jira, and YouTube so their context informs your brand knowledge, and set who can see each connection.

Your brand knowledge already lives somewhere: a Drive folder, a Notion workspace, the Slack channel where decisions actually get made. The Sources tab connects those tools to Channel Brain so their context can inform your brand. This is for the Admin wiring up where the channel's knowledge comes from.

Connect a tool

Open the Sources tab and pick a connector. The list includes Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Gmail, Confluence, GitHub, LinkedIn, Jira, Gong, YouTube, Asana, HubSpot, and X. Click a connector, complete the secure sign-in for that tool, and you are connected. The authorization happens with the provider directly, so your credentials never live in MarketScale.

Set who can see each connection

Each connected source has a visibility setting: Admins or Members. Use it to keep sensitive connections limited to admins while opening broader ones to the whole channel. You can change visibility or disconnect a source at any time.

Turn on AI Visibility

AI Visibility is a first-class connector that feeds an AI-visibility signal into your brain, so your channel understands how it shows up across AI answer engines. Connect it from the same tab. If you are enabling it after your brain is already set up, connecting it kicks off the sync for you.

Pro tip from the coaches: Connect the source where your team argues things out, not just the one where the polished files land. The reasoning behind a decision is often better brand context than the final document, and it is exactly the kind of thing that never makes it into a style guide.

What to do next

Sources are managed at the parent brand and shared down. If you run sub-brands, see How sub-brands work in Channel Brain.
