An up-to-date list of supported file types is available in the window on the Upload page. If you need help determining what type of file you're working with, follow these instructions:

Windows: You can determine a file's format by checking its file extension, which is the part of the file name that comes after the last period.

Here's how:

  1. Open Windows Explorer (press the Windows key + E on your keyboard).

  2. Navigate to the folder where the file is located.

  3. Click on the "View" tab in the top menu bar.

  4. Check the box next to "File name extensions" in the "Show/hide" section.

5. Find the file and look at its file extension. The extension usually consists of three letters following the period in the file name, such as ".mov" for movies or ".jpg" for image files.

Mac: You can use the Finder App to find the file format (extension) in MacOs.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Finder app on your Mac.

  2. Navigate to the folder where the file is located.

  3. Find the file and right-click (or control-click) on it.

  4. Select "Get Info" from the context menu.

  5. In the Info window that appears, look for the "Name & Extension" section near the top.

  6. The file extension will be displayed after the last period in the file name.
