Why Should I Use Tags and Tag Pages?

Tags and tag pages are the most powerful organizational tool in MarketScale to compile and categorize media over time.

Any time you create media in MarketScale through Record, Upload, or Request, it is required that you add a tag.

That's because tags are the most powerful organizational tool in MarketScale to compile and categorize media over time.

Here are some common applications for tags and tag pages:

  • Build a course: collate all of the media you need to create a course like Master Class.
    • You can even share access to the tag page for your users to enjoy the course directly in MarketScale (but please note, MarketScale always encourages our Users to post media into channels they own).
  • Build a series: as you develop a show, podcast, or any episodic series over time, use your tag page to collate all of your episodes in one central location.
  • Build a library: do you go to lots of shows and events? Do you host lots of them yourself? Use a tag in conjunction with Media Requests and Open Links to collate a massive library of b-roll over time.
  • Search media more easily: tags make it easier to locate media using the search and filter options at the top of the MarketScale portal.
