For demos, walkthroughs, and any presentation where the audience needs to see your screen and your face at once, a Record Room captures all three feeds, screen, camera, and mic, as separate tracks. That separation is what gives the editor room to work. Here's how to set it up.

Start by creating a new recording room in MarketScale or entering an existing one. The room is the workspace where the recording happens, and it's where you'll find the screen-share control. This is the same room you'd use for a talking-head recording; you're just going to add the screen feed on top.

Before you record, complete the equipment test for your webcam and mic. This catches the problems that would otherwise ruin a take: the wrong camera selected, a muted mic, a permission that didn't get granted. Thirty seconds of testing here prevents recording a perfect ten-minute demo only to discover the mic was off the whole time.

Click Share Screen in the bottom right of the room. You'll choose what to share: a single browser tab (cleanest for a web demo), a specific application window (good for a software walkthrough), or your full screen (when you need to move between apps). Pick the narrowest option that shows everything you need, so the audience isn't distracted by your other tabs and notifications.

The key advantage: the screen capture is recorded as a completely separate track from your webcam and audio. That means the editor can show your face and your screen together, cut between them, or resize either one, because they're not baked into a single merged frame. Separate tracks are what let a demo recording become a polished, dynamic video instead of a flat screen capture.
