If you've never recorded in MarketScale before, the whole flow takes about five minutes and there's one step at the end that trips up first-timers. Here's the full walkthrough so your first recording lands cleanly in your pipeline.
Create a recording room
Start by creating a recording room. The room is the space where the recording happens, separate from a meeting tool, built to capture content at full quality. You don't need to schedule anything or coordinate a calendar invite for a solo recording; you can create a room and start whenever you're ready.
Invite up to four guests by email or direct link
If you're recording with other people, invite them into the room, up to four participants total. You can send an email invite or share a direct link, whichever is faster for your guests. Each participant joins the same room, and MarketScale captures each of them on their own feed, which is what gives you a high-quality multi-person recording instead of a merged call.
Run the pre-entry mic, camera, and network test
Before you enter the room to record, run the equipment test for your mic, camera, and network connection. This is the step that prevents the most common first-time failure: recording a great take only to find the audio didn't capture. Thirty seconds confirming all three are working green saves you from re-recording the whole thing.
Hit record and say your piece
Once everyone's in and tested, hit record. Don't worry about a perfect first take; the editor will clean up false starts and fumbles. Just get your content captured. If you stumble, pause, take a breath, and pick up from your last complete sentence, then keep rolling.
Stay on screen until the submission-complete confirmation appears
This is the step first-timers miss: after you stop recording, stay on the screen until you see the submission-complete confirmation. Closing the tab or navigating away too early can interrupt the upload, and the recording may not make it into your pipeline. Wait for the confirmation that the recording has finished processing and submitted. Then you're safe to leave.
Try it this week
Open MarketScale and create your first recording room. Run the equipment test, hit record, say something you already know cold for 60 seconds, stop, and wait for the submission-complete confirmation. That's your first video in the pipeline, and every recording after this one follows the same five steps.
