Every piece of content with a talk track on MarketScale is automatically transcribed. Media Studio gives you a full set of tools to work with that transcript: search it, edit it, and download it in multiple formats.
Opening the Transcript Panel
Open the content in Media Studio.
Click the Transcript icon in the top-right toolbar (next to Comments).
The Transcript panel will open on the right side of the screen, showing the full auto-generated transcript timed to your video.
Searching the Transcript
You can search the transcript to quickly find a specific moment in your video.
With the Transcript panel open, use the search bar at the top of the panel.
Type a word or phrase. Matching segments will be highlighted in the transcript.
Click any highlighted result to jump directly to that moment in the video.
This is especially useful for long-form content (interviews, webinars, podcasts) where you need to locate a specific section without scrubbing through the whole video.
Pro tip: The transcript search inside Media Studio is scoped to the content you're currently viewing. MarketScale's channel-wide search works differently: it analyzes the transcripts of all content in your channel, so you can search for anything based on what was said in any talk track. Use the platform search from your channel feed when you're trying to find a piece of content by something that was said in it.
Editing the Transcript
The auto-generated transcript is accurate 98–99% of the time, but names, acronyms, and industry-specific terms occasionally need a correction. You can edit the transcript directly in the panel.
Click on any line of the transcript to make it editable.
Make your corrections directly in the text.
Click Save when you're done. Your edits are saved to the transcript and will be reflected in any future downloads.
Tip: Before downloading for external use (especially as a caption file), it's worth doing a quick proofread, Focus on proper nouns, brand names, and technical terminology. These are the areas most likely to need a small correction.
Downloading the Transcript
Once you've reviewed and edited your transcript, you can download it in three formats:
PDF – A clean, readable document, ideal for sharing or archiving.
SRT – A timed caption file supported by platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and Vimeo.
VTT – A WebVTT caption file used by web-based video players.
Click Download at the top of the Transcript panel and select your preferred format.
