What Differs Between User Types and Access Levels?

VIP Guest, Member, Admin... what do they mean?

Effectively managing user visibility within MarketScale Studio is essential for maintaining a healthy and thriving ecosystem. By leveraging the different visibility levels, including VIP Guest Pass, Member, and Admin roles, you can tailor access privileges to meet the needs of your diverse user base. This approach enhances collaboration, protects data privacy, and ensures that users have the appropriate level of visibility and engagement based on their roles and responsibilities

Those users with VIP Guest access restricted visibility in MarketScale. They have access to all of the tools and features to create media, and they can receive media requests and even be set as an approver. VIP Guests also have access to request editing on media which they create in MarketScale. But outside of the media they create themselves, VIP Guests are unable to view participate in any other media in the platform. Their visibility is capped to the specific content they contributed, maintaining data privacy and confidentiality. VIP Guests can be added to view media by Members and Admins through @ tagging their User profile in the comments of that media.

Those users with the role of Member are standard users, and have all of the same access as VIP Guests. But they have greater visibility and access to other media, and can view and engage with any media that has been approved.

Those users designated Admin are controllers with full access. They have complete visibility and control over the entire platform. They can view and manage content awaiting approval (regardless of whether they were set to approve the media), track pending requests, and access all content regardless of the approval stage. Admins should possess a deep understanding of the platform's functionality and be responsible for overseeing content approval and management as it travels through the pipeline.
