How to Use the Teleprompter in MarketScale

Stay on script and present with confidence. Learn how to open the MarketScale teleprompter, paste your script, adjust scrolling speed, and use it while recording.

MarketScale's built-in teleprompter keeps your script on screen so you can look at the camera, not your notes. This guide walks through opening the teleprompter, pasting in your script, adjusting the scroll speed, and using it while you record.

Accessing the Teleprompter

  1. Open the Recorder: after logging into MarketScale, click Record in the toolbar to open the recording module.

  2. Select the Teleprompter: once inside the recorder, click the Teleprompter icon on the far right of the command menu at the bottom center of your screen.

Adding Your Script

  • In the teleprompter text box that appears, type out or paste your script.

  • Format your script for easy reading, short sentences and clear sections make delivery smoother.

Customizing Scroll Speed

  • Adjust scroll speed using the slider at the center top of the screen.

  • Experiment with speeds to find a pace that matches your speaking style.

Using the Teleprompter While Recording

  • Start recording: once your script is configured, click Start recording in the command menu.

  • Play the teleprompter: press Play in the teleprompter interface to begin scrolling.

  • As the script scrolls, focus on delivering your message while maintaining eye contact with the camera.

Pro tip: practice a few times with the teleprompter before your final recording so you're comfortable with the scroll speed and pacing.

Benefits of the Teleprompter

  • Maintains eye contact: instead of looking down at notes, you focus on the camera.

  • Streamlines your message: staying on script ensures you cover every key point without drifting into tangents.

  • Boosts confidence: knowing your script is on-screen helps settle the nerves.

After Recording

Once your recording is complete, review it in MarketScale. You can submit it as-is or delete and restart if necessary. Remember: even if you stumble, MarketScale's editing tools can trim the sections you don't need, so it's usually best to keep the take.

With the teleprompter in your workflow, presenting with confidence in MarketScale has never been easier.
