Someone has asked for your input through a MarketScale Request: a link in your email, a post in your feed, or a direct invitation. Answer the questions, then send the whole response. Recording a video or uploading a file isn't enough on its own; your contribution only arrives when you see Response sent.
Before you start
Have the Request link and a stable internet connection. For video, have a working camera and microphone. Read the intended use, required questions, close date and any reward conditions before you begin.
If you aren't logged in to MarketScale when you open the link, you respond as a guest and may need to enter and verify your email. To respond through your account, log in first.
Answer the questions
Open the Request link and check its title and company. If an introduction appears, choose the start action shown (for example Start Request). Some single-question Requests open straight on the question.
Read each question and use one of its allowed answer types. Text: type a complete answer. File: choose Upload a file and wait for it to appear (keep all files under 50GB in total; split very large uploads into several responses). Video: choose Record a video; see How to Record a Video from a MarketScale Request Link.
Keep the page open while Uploading… or Processing video… is shown, and check that your recording or file appears under the question.
Answer every required question, using Next or Continue when offered.
Send your response
At the final step, check Responding as, or enter the guest details requested, including your email. Review any Request-specific terms.
If Reward details appears, fill in your country, region and employee relationship accurately.
Choose Send your response. Complete any email verification shown, and wait for Response sent. Check the Request title and company on the receipt before closing the page.
Response sent confirms your contribution arrived. It doesn't guarantee a gift or approve your content for publication. If the Request offers a reward, check its separate status on the receipt and see Claim a gift after answering a Request.
If something doesn't work
Send your response is unavailable: a required answer is missing. Check every required question, wait for uploads to finish, and complete your email if you're a guest.
Submission is unconfirmed: keep your answers, check required fields and your email, then use the retry shown. Ask the Request owner to check for your response before you send a duplicate.
The link is closed or unavailable: ask the owner to check the Request's status or close date.
A reward is delayed: check the separate reward status. Don't submit the same contribution again to trigger another gift.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it say I'm responding as a guest?
You opened the Request without logging in. Guest responses work fine. To respond through your account instead, log in first, then reopen the link.
Can I see my response after I send it?
The Request's creator, its collaborators and Admins of the channel that created it can open responses. If you created the Request yourself, open it from Requests to see what came in.
Can I send a Request to myself to collect media?
Yes. Respond to your own Request like anyone else would. To skip that step, you can also record or upload directly to your channel.
What's the difference between a Request and requesting an edit?
A Request collects content from other people. Requesting an edit sends content you already have to the editing team for polishing. See Submit your first edit request.
