Who can Create Requests?
Everyone has access. MarketScale doesn't gatekeep tools. If you have a MarketScale login, you have unlimited access to the creation toolbar. You can build, launch, and share Requests today, no permission slip required.
Management is decentralized. You manage what you build.
Creators: You have total control over your own requests.
Collaborators: Need help? Add a teammate to manage responses with you.
Admins: Channel Admins can oversee everything.
Simple rule: If you’re in, you’re a creator. Start building.
Part 1: Create Your Request
Requests are simple to build, just like crafting a survey.
Open Requests
From your main channel feed, click Request in the toolbar.
You’ll see every request you have access to, sorted by stage: In Progress, Draft, Completed, Paused, and Templates.
You'll be able to see and manage a request if you created it, were added as a collaborator, or are a Channel Admin. Otherwise, requests will not appear on any of these menus.
Create New Request
Hit Create in the top-right corner to open the builder. Add a title and at least one question, then click Finish to move forward. You also have a number of optional fields to improve your request experience:
Description
Close Date
On the chosen date your request will close automatically and no further responses will be allowed.

Custom Terms & Conditions
Use if your org requires them.
Add Collaborators who can manage the request and view the results.
Remember: Collaborators are fellow users you want to help manage responses you collect for this request. They'll have access to all content created in the request, and they'll be able to edit the request settings.
Adding Questions
Click + Add New Question and choose a response type: Text, Upload, or Record Video.
Please Note: Requests must have at least one answer in order for the responder to submit. If you have more than one question, make sure you check the box to mark questions required as needed.
Preview, Save, and Publish
When you’re happy with the setup, use the top-right buttons: Preview, Save as Template, or Finish to publish and choose your collection method.
Part 2: Collect Responses
MarketScale offers multiple collector tools so you can reach your users where they are:
Shareable Link. Creates a single URL for anyone to use. It's perfect for newsletters, emails, or QR codes.
Select Existing Channel Users. Send your requests 1:1 to any and all of the users in your channel. They’ll see it in-platform and over email.
Industry Experts. Instantly tap MarketScale’s verified expert network for third-party insights and testimonials.
After choosing your method, click Start Collector to send your request or generate your link.
Please Note: You can only select one collector at a time. If you want to send a request using multiple collectors, e.g. as a 1:1 email and also as a link, you should create and send your request with one collector, then duplicate your request and use the other collector.
Part 3: Manage & Review Responses
Requests appear in two places: the Feed (Channel Media and My Media) and Your Requests. Click View Responses to open all submissions. The right panel lists each response; the main panel plays videos, shows text, and displays uploads.
Part 4: Turn Responses into Content
You crowdsourced great responses in multimedia. Now, turn them into content to achieve your goals. Just select the responses you want to use, create a Media Studio and you're off to the races.
From the Media Studio, you can:
Order editing to combine video and multimedia into branded content.
Use AI writing to create written content at scale using your text responses and media transcripts.
Order AI translation to convert your video content into dozens of languages.
Generate AI social clips to convert your long content into lots of short content and maximize your reach.
Reminder: As long as the content is only in the collector, it is private to collaborators and admins. When you send your content to a Media Studio it will become available on the Channel Media feed.
