Commenting is one of the best ways to collaborate and engage with content in MarketScale Studio. You can leave comments directly from the channel/home page feed or from within the Media Studio editing and proofing page. Both are covered below.
Not sure which one to use? Think of it this way: the feed is your social space, similar to LinkedIn, where you can like, share, and leave general comments to engage with your teammates. The Media Studio is your workspace, comments left there are tied to the editing and proofing process, and the intention is that you're requesting or suggesting changes to the video.
Option 1: Commenting from the Channel / Home Page
1. Navigate to https://studio.marketscale.com/ and locate the video you want to comment on.
2. Scroll down below the video to find the comment section. Click the "Comment" field to begin typing.
3. Type your comment in the text box. Once you're happy with it, click "Comment" to post it.
Option 2: Commenting from the Media Studio (Editing / Proofing Page)
You can also leave timestamped comments directly within the Media Studio, which is ideal for giving specific feedback tied to a moment in the video.
1. From your feed, click "Media Studio" in the action bar below the video to open the editing and proofing page.
2. Once inside the Media Studio, locate the comment box at the bottom of the page. It will say "Suggest edits and give creative direction here..." Click into it and type your feedback. Comments left here are automatically timestamped to the moment in the video you're viewing.
3. When you're ready, click "Submit" to post your comment. It will be saved alongside other feedback from your team.
Troubleshooting: Submit Button is Grayed Out
If you're unable to submit your comment, here's how to diagnose the issue:
Red circle visible near the Submit button? This means your comment has exceeded the character limit. Shorten it until the red circle disappears and the Submit button becomes active again.
No red circle but still grayed out? Try refreshing the page, logging out and back in, or switching to a different browser or private/incognito window.
