Overview

MarketScale Studio has two separate places to leave comments, and they serve very different purposes. Understanding the difference is important — comments left in the wrong place won't reach your editing team, which can delay your project without you realizing it.

Key Concepts

Feed comments appear underneath your video on your main Studio dashboard — the same area where you'd see likes, shares, and team activity. These are visible to your internal team and are meant for social-style conversation, sharing feedback with colleagues, or tagging teammates to review a finished piece. Editors do not see these.

Media Studio comments live inside the Media Studio proofing room — the environment you access by clicking the Media Studio button on a video. This is the only place where your editing team can see your notes and feedback.

Step-by-Step: Leaving a Comment for Your Editor

  1. Find your video on your Studio dashboard.

  2. Click Media Studio to open the proofing room — do not leave notes in the comment section below the video on the dashboard.

  3. Watch the video inside the proofing room and add timestamped comments at the exact moments where you want changes.

  4. When all your feedback is in, click Request Revision (top right corner) to send everything to your editor.

Best Practices

  • Always enter the proofing room through the Media Studio button before leaving edit feedback — the feed comment section below a video is not connected to your editing team.

  • Use the proofing room to tag specific moments in the video with your notes. Timestamps help editors find the exact point you're referring to.

  • Once all your feedback is entered, remember to hit Request Revision — comments alone won't trigger the editor to pick up your project.

FAQs

If I leave a comment under the video on my dashboard, will the editor see it?
No. Feed comments are only visible to your internal team and colleagues within Studio. Editors only see notes left inside the Media Studio proofing room.

Can I tag my teammates in the feed comments?
Yes — feed comments are a great place to tag team members so they can review a completed video. Just keep in mind this is separate from the editing workflow.

What happens after I click Request Revision?
Your notes go back to the editor who worked on the project. They'll make the changes and upload a new version, which will be reviewed by the MarketScale team before being sent back to you.
