How to build a weekly content cadence you can actually stick to

How to build a weekly content cadence. A simple template: Tuesday thought leadership, Wednesday testimonials, Thursday announcements, Friday culture. Start with just two days, batch record, and use Folders and Collections to organize the posting calendar.

Most content cadences die within a month because the calendar is too ambitious for the actual work the team can sustain. The fix isn't more discipline. It's a smaller, more specific cadence that fits inside the work week. Here's a template for a weekly cadence that survives past month two.

Pro tip: Start with just two days a week, not five. A two-day cadence you actually hit beats a five-day cadence you abandon.

Map each day to a specific content type

A repeating weekly template with one content type per day eliminates decision fatigue. Tuesday for thought leadership (an expert take on the category). Wednesday for testimonials (a customer or partner clip). Thursday for announcements (product news, team news, event news). Friday for team and culture content (behind-the-scenes, employee voices). Each day knows its job before the week starts.

Start with just two days, not all five

Ambition kills cadences. Five days a week sounds great in the planning meeting and becomes "we haven't posted in three weeks" by mid-quarter. Pick two days from the template and commit to those. Build the habit at two posts a week for two months, then add a third day. The cadence that survives is the one that starts small.

Batch record so capture doesn't eat your week

Don't try to record on the day you post. Record three or four pieces in one sitting and parcel them out across the week. A 45-minute batch session on Monday produces all the content for that week and clears your calendar for everything else. Batching turns capture into a single anchor task instead of an ongoing distraction.

Organize the calendar with Folders and Collections

Build a MarketScale Folder per content type (one for thought leadership, one for testimonials, etc.) and route each batch recording into the right folder. Group the finished pieces into Collections in Ready to Share so sales, recruiting, and partners can pull from the cadence's output. The calendar becomes self-documenting; the team can see what's been shipped and what's coming next.

Try it this week

Pick two days from the weekly template. Block a 45-minute batch session for next Monday. Open MarketScale and create one Folder per content type you committed to. Record two pieces, route them into the right folders, and post them on the assigned days. Two weeks in, the cadence starts running itself.
