Privacy settings in MarketScale are driven by Groups, which enable you to create focused views within your Channel.
Privacy and Group Settings:
Most MarketScale users find that, sooner or later, they need to create Groups within their Channel.
With Groups, you can create focused feeds that show only the media chosen for that group.
This way, you’ll see the media that matters most to that specific group.
Here are common reasons why you might want to use Groups:
You want to focus on media that your team needs, without scrolling through other teams' media.
You have media that you want to collaborate on, but which needs to remain private—maybe it's a new product or an exciting announcement you don't want to spoil!
You're holding an internal competition for who can produce the coolest content, and you want to separate those efforts.
How to Edit Privacy Settings for a Media With Groups
Whenever you create media in MarketScale, you have the option to access the Privacy dropdown.
To edit the Group for that media, all you need to do is open your Privacy options.
By default, you will always have two Group options for Privacy:
My Channel: The default privacy setting for all your media is your Channel. This means your Members can access the media automatically. If you want VIP Guests to have access, simply add them as collaborators by @-tagging them into the media.
Only Me + Channel Admins: As the name suggests, this setting makes the media visible only to you. Admins will still have access, since they can view all content in MarketScale regardless of privacy settings.
You also have the option to select any Group you have joined. So, if you'd like to change your Privacy settings, just select the Group and proceed!
Can I Edit Privacy on a Media that Already Exists?
Yes. To edit privacy settings for a media that already exists, locate the media card in your feed and click the dropdown menu in the top right corner. From there, you can click Edit settings — this will take you to the section where you can update the privacy settings.
In short, it only takes a few clicks to control who can see your media!
