Privacy settings in MarketScale are driven by Groups, which enable you to create focused views within your MarketScale org.
Why Privacy and Group Settings?
Most MarketScale users find, sooner or later, that they want/need to create Groups within their MarketScale Org.
With Groups, you can create focused feeds that show only media that have been selected to occupy that group.
This way, you can focus on the media that you care about!
Here are common reasons why you might want to use Groups:
You want to focus on media that your team needs, without scrolling through other teams' media.
You have media that you want to collaborate on that needs to remain private - maybe it's a new product, or an exciting announcement and you don't want to spoil it.
You have an internal competition for who can produce the coolest content, so you want to separate those efforts.
How to Edit Privacy Settings for a Media With Groups
Any time you create media in MarketScale that will be visible in your feed, you have the option to access the Privacy dropdown.
Use the carrot icon on the right to open your Privacy options and edit the Group for the media.
By default, you will have 2 Group options for Privacy:
My organization: The default privacy setting for all media in MarketScale is Organization. That means that your Members can access the media by default. VIP Guests can access media if you add them as collaborators by @ tagging them into the media. Learn more about User types and access levels here.
Only Me + Admins: Just as the name says, this makes the media available only to you. Admins will be able to see it as well, since Admins have complete access in MarketScale to see all content regardless of Privacy settings.
You also have the option to select any Group you have joined. Learn more about creating and using Groups here.
If you'd like to change your Privacy settings, just click to select the Group and proceed!
Can I Edit Privacy on a Media that Already Exists?
Yes. To edit privacy settings for a media that already exists, locate the media card in your feed and click the ellipsis menu in the top right corner. From there, you can click Edit settings.
Conclusion
Adjusting the privacy settings for videos in Studio is a straightforward process that provides significant control over who can view your content.
