Responding to media requests on MarketScale is a simple process, but it can be a bit different depending on whether you're using a mobile device or a computer. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure you can efficiently and effectively respond to any media request you receive.
1. Receiving the Request
There are three ways you might receive a media request:
In Platform: If you're logged in to MarketScale, you'll see a card in feed with the request details and the option to respond.
Via Email: When you receive a media request via email, you'll see the request details in the body of the email and a button to open the request. This will take you to a page where you can view the request details and choose how to respond.
Via Open Link: If you receive a media request via an open link, simply click the link to view the request details.
2. Agreeing to Terms
If this is your first time using MarketScale, or if you're an external guest, you'll see a statement about agreeing to MarketScale's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. To proceed, simply continue past this statement to provide your consent.
3. Viewing Request Details
Once logged in, you'll see the request creator, prompts, and options to Record or Upload media. Choose your preferred method to respond.
Note: The record option is available on desktop only and not on mobile devices. MarketScale is a browser-based platform that requires a high-speed internet connection for optimal recording quality. Achieving a good recording on mobile is challenging, especially when using a data connection instead of a hardwired connection. It's best to use your phone's camera app to record your video and then upload it.
4. Responding to the Request
If you choose to record: How to Record on MarketScale. Remember, the record option is available only on desktop, not mobile.
If you choose to upload: Use the upload option to submit your pre-recorded media.
Look out for a popup notification confirming we have received your recording!
