When “Request Revision” Is Missing
If the "Request Revision" button is missing entirely, it's likely due to your video having reached a Completed status. When an edit is marked as Completed, the revision window closes, and therefore, the “Request Revision” option will no longer appear.
At this stage, the media is considered finalized.
To request additional edits:
Contact support to reopen the video, or
Duplicate media OR Download and re-upload your video as a new item, then submit a new edit request (don't forget to link the original)
When “Request Revision” Is Greyed Out
There are a few common reasons why the “Request Revision” option may be greyed out. In most cases, this is related to the version you’re viewing or the current status of your media. Here are a few things you can check:
1.) You’re Not on the Latest Version
Media Studio supports multiple versions of your video. These appear in the version ribbon above your video.
Revisions can only be requested on the most recent completed version
If you’re viewing an earlier version, the option will be greyed out
Select the latest version (far left) to continue.
2.) The Video Is Still “In Editing”
Within the version ribbon above your video in Media Studio, you can find the status of your media:
In Editing → The video is currently with the editing team
Edited/Newest Version → The video is ready for review and can be sent back for revisions
If the status is In Editing, the option will be greyed out because the video is already being worked on.
You can still:
Leave timestamped comments in Media Studio
If changes are urgent while editing is in progress, reach out to your coach or support so your feedback can be shared with the editor.
3.) The Version Is Still Processing
If a version is still loading or processing (for example, showing a spinner or generating a score), it may not be ready for review yet.
The “Request Revision” option will remain greyed out until:
The version finishes processing
It becomes the latest completed version
In Summary
If you’re unable to request a revision, run through these quick checks:
Confirm you are viewing the latest version
Check the status is Edited (not “In Editing” or “Completed”)
Refresh the page or reopen Media Studio
If you’re still unable to proceed, contact support for assistance.
How Will I Know When My Edit Is Ready?
When your edit is complete and ready for review:
You’ll receive an email notification or platform alert
The updated version will be available in Media Studio
The “Request Revision” option will become available again
Admins and users who submitted the request will receive these notifications automatically.
Pro Tip
Review your video carefully and include all requested changes in a single revision request whenever possible. This helps reduce back-and-forth and keeps your project moving quickly.
