If you sell or resell someone else's product, your Brand Book has to do double duty: your own brand and the partner's brand have to both show up correctly, in the right places, every time. Get this wrong once and the partner relationship takes a hit. Here's how to set up a co-branded Brand Book that makes the right output the default.
Pro tip: One Brand Book per partner product. Don't mix multiple partners into one shared book or editors will apply the wrong logos.
Upload both logos and label them clearly
Upload your logo and the partner's logo as separate, clearly labeled files in the Brand Book. "AcmeCorp logo (yours)" and "PartnerCo logo (theirs)" so the editor never guesses. Use transparent PNGs in dark and light versions for both. The labeling does the work of preventing the editor from putting the wrong logo in the wrong slot, which is the single most embarrassing co-brand mistake.
Add standing notes on logo placement
Use the Brand Book's notes field to explain placement rules. Where does each logo go in the intro? Which appears in the outro? Are they side by side or stacked? Is one always primary? Editors who get clear placement rules apply them automatically; editors guessing at placement produce inconsistent co-brand across videos. Three lines of standing notes save a dozen revision rounds.
Save the first approved video as a Saved Order to lock the pattern
Once you've got a first video co-branded the way both you and the partner approve, save the edit configuration as a Saved Order in MarketScale. Every future video for this product uses the same Saved Order, which means the co-branding stays consistent across the entire library without anyone needing to re-explain the pattern every time. Approval gets faster because the partner is seeing the same shape of asset they already signed off on.
Keep one Brand Book per partner product
If you sell multiple partners' products, build one Brand Book per product, not one combined book. Editors selecting "Brand Book A" for product A and "Brand Book B" for product B can't accidentally pull the wrong assets. The combined-book approach saves five minutes of setup once and costs hours of revision later. Separate books, clear naming, no cross-contamination.
Try it this week
Open MarketScale and build a dedicated Brand Book for each partner product you sell. Upload and label both logos. Write the standing notes on placement. Run one video through, get partner approval, and save the configuration as a Saved Order. From that point on, the co-brand is automatic and the partner relationship stays clean.
