Surveys on MarketScale make it easy to share your voice in one quick flow. Look out for a link in your inbox, a post in your feed, or a direct invite over email. Just answer and send, simple as that.
Part 1: Answer the Survey
When you open the link, you’ll land on the survey’s intro screen. You’ll see the name of the survey and who sent it. Hit Get Started to jump in.
Once inside, you’ll see the questions with instructions for how to respond. The Survey creator already chose which options you'll use, so just follow the instructions. Surveys have three response options:
Video
Click Start. Your browser will ask to use your mic and camera, approve it and record. Click Stop when you're done. Your video is saved automatically, and you can play it back to make sure you like it and delete it and try again if you don't.
File Upload
Drag and drop or browse your computer. Make sure your files are under 50GB taken together.
Text
Type your response right in the box.
When you’re done, scroll down. It’s time to submit.
Part 2: Submit Your Contribution
Next, you’ll see Credit your contribution. What happens next depends on who you are:
If You’re Already Logged In
Nothing fancy here, your info’s already saved. Just click Submit and you’re done.
If You Have an Account (But Aren’t Logged In)
Type the email tied to your MarketScale account. The system recognizes you automatically. No password needed. Click Submit.
If You’re New to MarketScale
You’ll fill in a few quick details:
Email Address
First Name
Last Name
(Job Title and Company are optional.)
Then you’ll see an option to set a password. That step’s optional, but smart. It gives you Guest Access to MarketScale Studio so you can:
See your response later
Check out other videos from your channel
Even create your own surveys, plus unlimited access to all MarketScale creation features
Click Submit to finish.
What Happens Next
You’ll see a quick thank-you screen confirming your response was submitted. That’s it.
Frequently Asked Questions
I’m recording a video for a Survey, what’s the correct flow?
Here’s the step-by-step:
Click Start in the video window
Click Stop when you're finished, your video will automatically upload, process, and save - just make sure you see the Success notification in the bottom of your screen
Review your vide, and if you want to re-record hit the trash icon and go again
Pro tip: Your survey response is not saved until you click "Submit" on the whole survey, so make sure to finish the whole thing and click Submit!
Why is the Submit button not working?
If the Submit button is disabled, a required question hasn’t been completed. Check that:
All required text fields have input
All required uploads/recordings are present
You’ve scrolled fully to the bottom and completed the Submit section if you aren't already logged in when you open the Survey
What happens after I send my Survey response?
Once you hit Submit:
You’ll see a confirmation screen
If you haven't used MarketScale before, follow the prompts to complete your profile and activate your account
If you set a password or already have an account, you’ll be able to see your response in your MarketScale Studio
Your contribution is delivered to the Users who created the Survey
How do I get my Survey response into Media Studio?
To access the content from your response, navigate to the Survey in your Channel and click Responses.
You can see your response immediately after you submit it, but in order to get full access to the response you need to be the creator of the Survey, or have collaborator permissions on the Survey, or be an Admin in the channel in which the Survey was created.
Can I send a Survey to myself to upload media?
Yes. Just send the Survey to yourself or use the link Collector. Open your Survey and respond normally. Your video or files will still be accessible in the Collector after submission just the same as anyone's
Is a Survey the same as the old Media Request?
Yes, you can think of Surveys like Media Request 2.0. They offer the same functionality but with more flexibility and easier responses across video, text, and file uploads.
