How to Manage and Troubleshoot Notifications in MarketScale

Manage your MarketScale notification settings and troubleshoot common email or in-platform notification issues.

MarketScale sends notifications to keep you updated on activity across your content, edits, requests, and collaboration workflows. If you're not receiving notifications, receiving too many, or want to adjust your preferences, this guide walks you through the most common fixes and settings.

Types of Notifications in MarketScale

Depending on your role and activity, you may receive notifications for things like:

  • Videos marked Edited and ready for review

  • Comments or collaboration activity

  • Request responses

  • Coaching content updates

  • Mentions and tags

  • Platform alerts and workflow updates

Notifications may appear:

  • By email

  • Inside Studio


How to Manage Your Notification Preferences

You can customize which notifications you receive from MarketScale.

To update your notification settings:

  1. Click on your profile icon

  2. Go to Edit Profile

  3. Open the Notification Center

  4. Enable or disable the notifications you’d like to receive

This allows you to control which updates are sent to your email or shown inside the platform.


Not Receiving Notifications?

If notifications have stopped arriving, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

  • Search for recent emails from MarketScale

  • Mark them as Not Spam if needed


Whitelist MarketScale Emails

Your organization or email provider may be blocking automated notifications.

Add MarketScale email addresses to your:

  • Safe senders list

  • Allowed domains list

  • Email whitelist

This helps ensure notifications are delivered correctly.


Confirm You’re Logged Into the Correct Account

If you belong to multiple organizations or channels, make sure you’re logged into the account connected to the notifications you’re expecting.


Check Browser or Cache Issues

If in-platform notifications appear missing:

  • Refresh the page

  • Clear browser cache

  • Try another browser or an incognito/private window


Who Receives Edit Notifications?

When an important action is taken on an edit, notifications are sent to:

  • The person who submitted the edit request

  • Admins within the organization

  • Anyone added as a collaborator on the edit

Folders do not have separate notification settings.


Why Am I Receiving Notifications for Something I Didn’t Request?

This usually means:

  • You’re an Admin in the organization, or

  • You were added as a collaborator on the request

This is expected behavior and does not mean there is a system issue.


Coaching Feed Notifications

Videos uploaded by the MarketScale team into the Coaching feed do not require approval and should appear automatically.

If you receive a coaching notification but don’t see the video:

  • Confirm you’re in the correct channel

  • Refresh the page

  • Clear browser cache

  • Try another browser or private window
