How to View and Manage User Permissions in MarketScale

Learn how to manage users in your MarketScale channel using the upgraded Users dashboard. Covers the Active, Invited, Deleted, and Participants tabs, bulk invite resending, soft and permanent delete, and role management all in one place.

Updated today

As an Admin, you have exclusive access to manage your channel's users. The Users dashboard is organized into dedicated tabs for different user states, with improved search and new tools for managing invites, deletions, and participant follow-up.

Note: The Users page is restricted to Admins only. Standard and VIP Guest users will not see or be able to access this page.

Step 1: Open the Users Page

Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen. In the dropdown, find the Admin Actions section and select Users.

Search and Pagination

The search bar supports partial name searches. For example, typing "Walter" returns all users with that name.

Note: Partial email searches are not yet supported; use a full email address when searching by email.

You can also control how many users appear per page, up to a maximum of 50 at once, using the pagination control at the bottom of the list.

The Four User Tabs

The Users dashboard is organized into four tabs, each representing a different user state.

Active

Your current channel members, everyone with an active account and access to your channel. From here you can see each user's name, title, and email address, and update their role directly using the role control in their row.

Note: An active user on MarketScale is a user who has completed their profile, set a password, and verified their email to activate their account

Invited

Users who have been sent an invitation but haven't activated their account yet. A Resend Invites button lets you bulk resend email invitations to all pending users in one click.

Pro tip: Make resending invites a regular habit. Pop into the Invited tab once a day or a few times a week and hit the resend button. It's a simple way to keep your invite pipeline moving without manual follow-up.

Deleted

Users you remove from the channel land here. Deletion is a soft delete by default. If you remove someone by accident, click Recover to restore them. Removing a user only affects this channel; their profile and access in any other channels they belong to is untouched.

If you need to permanently remove a user from your channel, use the Permanent Delete option. This completely eliminates the user from the channel. Any content they created will be transferred to the Admin who performed the deletion.

Note: Permanent delete removes the user's access entirely, but any content they previously created stays in the channel and is reassigned to you as the deleting Admin.

Participants

Participants are people who have responded to a content request or joined a recording room but haven't created a full MarketScale account yet. They've already engaged with your brand, which makes them warm leads worth following up with.

Pro tip: Use this tab as your outreach list. These users have participated in content creation for your channel before, so there's a good chance they'll do it again - they just need a nudge.
