MarketScale makes it easy to decentralize content creation, and a big part of that is making access easy. While still preserving enterprise security requirements for B2B companies.
Today, we launched numerous upgrades that streamline access for users, guests, and participants in MarketScale. Whether you're joining a recording, responding to a request, or just trying to watch a video your teammate shared, we've made collaboration easier, faster, and decentralized.
Here's what changed.
Seamless Guest Access (Surveys & Recording Rooms)
We removed mandatory login/account creation for your contributors to submit their content or participate in a recording.
For Requests & Recording Rooms: When a user clicks a link, they are no longer forced to log in.
The New "Guest" Flow: If the user isn't logged in, they simply click "Get Started."
Data Capture: If the system doesn't recognize the user, they will be prompted to quickly enter their email before moving on. No account creation required.
Existing Users: If you prefer, you can log in first and submit through your active account instead of as a guest participant.
Smart Participant Matching
We made the platform smarter, so your users don’t have to work as hard.
Automatic Recognition: If a user enters an email address that matches an existing account during a survey or recording flow, the system will recognize them via Smart Matching.
Frictionless Entry: We map the submission to their existing account on the backend without forcing them to stop, remember a password, or go through SSO verification.
Reduced Redundancy: If we know who they are, we won't ask for redundant details like Job Title or Company Name.
Secure Data: For enterprise compliance, we maintain a clear distinction in the data. If a user submits content without full authentication (password/SSO), their entry is explicitly tagged as "Participant" data. This ensures analytics and logs clearly distinguish between fully authenticated actions and guest-flow submissions.
Unified Media Sharing
We have eliminated the confusing distinction between "Copy Link" and "External Link."
One Link to Rule Them All: Now, when you click Share or Copy Link on a media card, it generates a single, universal URL.
Dynamic Access:
Logged-in Users: Will see the full interface (Comment, Like, Download).
Guests/External Viewers: Will see a "View Only" version of the content. If they attempt to Like or Comment, they will then be prompted to log in.
Permission by Action: Clicking the "Share" button now implies permission for the recipient to view the content without a login.
Note: Directly copying the URL from your browser address bar will still enforce a login gate. Please use the Share button!
