Why Is There an Inbox on MarketScale, and How Do I Use It?

The Inbox is where Admins review and approve (or decline) community-contributed media before it lands on the Dashboard. Here's how to use it.

Use the Inbox to intake content from your crowd and community, and approve or decline it for use before it hits your Dashboard.

Why an Inbox?

MarketScale helps you tap into the power of your crowd. Check out what PGA built at the PGA Championship, with hundreds of video submissions from PGA community members.

Whether you have thousands of contributors sending media into your MarketScale like PGA, or a tight core community, you may want to oversee submissions and approve or decline them according to your community guidelines. That's why the Inbox exists, it gives Admins a gatekeeping step before media goes live.

How to find the Inbox

Click the Inbox icon in the top-right of the main menu on MarketScale:

Reviewing media

The navigation mirrors the Dashboard (home feed), with media available for approval or declination. The buttons appear in the top-right of each media item:

  • Approve, automatically sends the media to your Dashboard.

  • Decline, permanently deletes the media. Only decline content if you're certain you'll never need it.

Tip: if you're unsure, remember you can request edits in MarketScale, often better to approve with proofing notes and trim the unwanted parts than to lose the raw clip entirely.

The Sent Box: what it is and how to use it

The Inbox has 2 sections: (1) Inbox, and (2) Sent.

The Sent Box is your one-stop dashboard to check the status of your Media Requests, Open Links, and video email messages (deprecated).
