Coaching Videos vs. Standard Media: Interaction Differences

Explains how coaching video interactions (Got It, commenting, access) differ from standard media sharing in MarketScale.

Coaching videos and standard media (like community posts) behave differently in MarketScale. Here's what to know before you publish either one.

Coaching Videos

  • Found in the Coaching feed.

  • Include a "Got It" button so viewers can acknowledge they've watched the content.

  • Only Members can access coaching content. VIP Guests cannot see the Coaching feed or interact with coaching videos.

  • When shared via a link, external or logged-out viewers see a View Only version with no interaction options visible.

  • Commenting is available to logged-in Members. The comment box appears below the video after login.

Standard Media (Community Posts, Videos, etc.)

  • Found in community feeds, folders, and media libraries.

  • Do not include a "Got It" button.

  • Interactions include Like, Comment, and Download (for logged-in users).

  • When shared via the Share button, external viewers see a View Only version and are prompted to log in only when they try to interact (like, comment).

Which one should you use?

Pick Coaching when you need proof of viewership or want to limit content to Members only, training, onboarding, compliance, and must-watch updates. Pick Standard when you want wider reach including VIP Guests, plus social-style engagement (likes, comments, downloads), marketing stories, product launches, community posts.
