Is there a file size limit?

Yes. Each upload session caps at 50 GB. If your files exceed the limit, consider breaking large uploads into smaller chunks or check out our Handling Large File Uploads.

Pro tip: Unless you have a wired connection and fiber internet speeds you'll struggle to upload files of this size. We suggest chunking your uploads into numerous smaller parts / batches and adding them to the same folder for organization.

How many files can I upload at once?

Up to 100 files per upload. Group related clips, images, and audio into one upload to keep everything organized and instantly accessible in your portal. Use Folders to batch multiple uploads.

How do I add media from Dropbox or Box?

Under Media, hit the Dropbox or Box button. Log in if prompted, navigate to your folder, and select files, no downloads or re-uploads needed. It’s a seamless, on-demand way to bring cloud assets into MarketScale.

What’s the “Add to folders” option?

Folders help you keep media organized. After you title your upload, click Add to folder +, pick an existing folder (or create a new one), and your files automatically land under that folder. You’ll find everything in one scalable folder view—no more hunting. Ensure that media files are assigned to folders when required, as missing folder assignments can result in upload errors.

How do I select an approver?

Scroll down to Select approver, click the person you want to review your media, then hit Start upload. Your approver will receive an instant notification once your files finish uploading.

How long will it take to upload?

Upload speed depends on file size and your internet connection. Small clips often finish near instantly; large videos can take longer. Don’t close your browser, wait for the “Upload confirmed” message.

My upload failed—what now?

First, check these common causes:

  • File size and type: Ensure your file is under the size limit and in an acceptable format.

  • Missing required fields: Make sure you've completed all necessary metadata fields, including tags and folder assignments, if applicable.

  • If at first you don't succeed... If everything seems correct, try again: click Upload and reselect your files. Sometimes uploads fail due to internet hiccups.

Still stuck? It's probably your internet connection. Try a speed test, the floor for uploading is 15mbps upload. Start a live chat with us or shoot us a note at [email protected] if you need help. We work fast.

Where do my files go after uploading?

Your media lands in the Inbox for approval, and then your Dashboard and any folders you chose.

Pro tip: If your uploading files in response to a Survey, the flow is a little different. Your files will go to your response in the Survey Collector, where Collaborators on that Survey can see them. Learn more here.

Can I edit my title after uploading?

Yes, navigate to the media card in your portal, click the Edit icon, and update title. It’s flexible enough to keep your workflow smooth.
